New, easier ways to track your performance and costs
To help you better understand and track the performance and costs of your investments, we’re providing you with two new features: Money-weighted performance details and Your Investment Report.
Money-weighted performance
Until now, your rate of return has been presented by time-weighted performance, i.e. the gain or loss of your account balance over a specific period of time. Now you’ll also see your return by money-weighted performance on a quarterly and annual basis, which will give you a more accurate picture because changes in the value of your investments are taken into consideration, e.g. any dividends and interest received, or deposits and withdrawals made. You’ll find your money-weighted performance when you sign in to your account and view your Performance Summary.
Also new is the graph representation of your rate of returns. Simply click view chart above each table to see it.
Your Investment Report
Beginning this year, your annual December statement will be enhanced with more details. This is why we’re calling it Your Investment Report.
The additional details that you’ll see in your Report are:

For a preview of your new statement, this one-minute video will show you how your fees and charges will be more clearly shown, and how your portfolio’s rate of return will include money-weighted and time-weighted performance.
The statement you receive in January will include a quick guide called Introducing the new BMO InvestorLine Account Statement.
